Deadly Amoeba Found in the Water Supply

The brain-eating amoeba that killed two children has been identified in the U.S. water supply, Time.com reported. The parasite, Naegleria fowleri, is normally harmless, but turns dangerous when entered through the nose as it can travel into the brain and cause swelling and infection. However, officials claim that water is safe to bathe in and drink, but to avoid kiddie pools and water slides.
