Abused Women More Prone to Riskier Sex

Violent relationships increase a woman’s risk for HIV and STDs, says a new report. Women who reported abuse feared that demanding safer sex would result in being hurt, so they remained silent. Researchers say new approaches are needed to address these women’s needs given that traditional condom negotiation talks don’t work for them.
