Heart Attacks During Child Birth Are More Common Than We Think

Cardiac arrest during childbirth may be rare, but it happens twice as often as doctors once thought, says a new report. Researchers found that 1 in 12,000 women have heart attacks when giving birth. High blood pressure, pregnancy-induced diabetes, obesity, bleeding and blood infections put these pregnant women at risk, Health Day News says
