FLOTUS says maturing daughters Sasha and Malia are causing his hair to turn.
It's no surprise that a few years in the office will turn the president's hair gray with all the stress the position entails, but Michelle Obama has admitted that something else is causing the change: the president's daughters Sasha and Malia.
During an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, the first lady said, "People think the gray is from his job; it's from his children."
"There's nothing like the look on his face when Malia dresses up for a party and she's heading out. She walks past him and you can see his face sort of just drop a little bit," Michelle laughs. "It's like, 'Who was that?'"
Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, have grown up before our eyes and the idea of his eldest child going on dates could very well be robbing President Obama of some shut-eye, though the Obamas have stressed the importance of creating a space where Sasha and Malia can still enjoy doing the things other children get to experience.
FLOTUS also reiterated her reason for changing up her hairstyle. During an interview with Rachel Ray, she joked that the bangs were a result of her midlife crisis and not being able to do something radical like going bungee jumping or buying a sports car.
"My imagination has to be a little more limited, you know? Would I like to skydive? No, can't do that. Can I drive? I can't drive. So there are a few things I can do, so why not cut my hair, put a little color in it, do a little something?"
