Tameka Raymond Launches Kile's World in Memory of Son

The foundation will offer art-based camps and workshops to children.

Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Raymond, lost her son Kile in a tragic watercraft accident last summer, but Raymond isn't letting her 11-year-old be forgotten. Shortly after he was declared brain dead and taken off life support, she created the Kile Glover Fund to raise awareness about water safety and now, in honor of his 12th birthday, which fell on Good Friday this year, she launched the "Kile's World" foundation.
The organization, located at Midtown Atlanta's Woodruff Arts Center, will "offer art-based camps with multiple workshops including general instruction in the areas of acting, singing, dance, painting, illustration, music production and digital media." Raymond also hopes to open a school that will focus on music and the arts.
Among those at the launch event, which was decorated with some of Kile's artwork, were Raymond's sons, Bow Wow's mom Teresa Caldwell and Big Rich Atlanta stars Brie Rowe and Sharlinda Parker.
