Michelle Obama Launches Healthy Lunchtime Challenge

Winners will get to attend the kids' "state dinner" luncheon at the White House this summer.

Michelle Obama has launched the second annual Healthy Lunchtime Challenge to get kids excited about good nutrition. The competition, created in partnership with Epicurious.com, the U.S. Department of Education, and Department of Agriculture, will have the winners dining at the White House with the first lady this summer.
To participate, children ages 8 to 12 and their parents can submit original recipes covering each of the food groups by May 12. Those whose recipes are chosen will attend the kids' "state dinner" luncheon to sample the healthy meals.
