Oprah Reveals Anxieties About Turning 60

The media mogul tells Al Roker that "60 is not the new 30."

Oprah Winfrey might be an über-successful business woman who tops Forbes power lists time after time, but when it comes to turning a year older, the media mogul is just like the rest of us. Winfrey will be turning 60 come January 29 and, in a recent interview with Today's Al Roker, she expressed anxiety over turning the milestone age.

"You know, it's the only age I've ever been that I had a … hiccup about, 'cause 60 is 60," she said. When Roker joked that 60 is the new 30, Winfrey was quick to disagree.

"I don't think it's the new 30, Al," she said with a laugh. "Uh uh. Uh uh."

But despite how she feels about turning 60, the Queen of All Media will be celebrating the occasion with a huge fête.

"I've never really had a proper party for myself," she told Roker. "And when I turn 60, I'm going do that."

And with her network OWN picking up in ratings and her first live-action film role in 15 years in Lee Daniels' The Butler, turning a year older is not the only thing she'll have worth celebrating.
