Kim Kardashian Explains Bathing Suit Selfie

The reality star says it was a "middle finger to the world" for being called fat.

Kim Kardashian caused a stir two weeks ago when she posted a sexy selfie on Instagram while wearing a particularly revealing white bathing suit. The new mama simply wrote "#NoFilter" for the photo's caption leaving the public to praise and criticize the starlet. During a visit with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show Wednesday night, Kardashian explained her motives behind the pic.
"I was trying on a bathing suit and I actually just sent that to my boyfriend [Kanye West] and I was like, 'Babe, can I post this up? This is like my big, like, middle finger to the world on everyone that called me fat,'" she said.
Kardashian, also revealed that she'd be taking Yeezy's last name once they wed, and said that the comments on her weight gain during her pregnancy really affected her.
"It really hurt my soul," she said. "It changed how I am in the public a little bit.... There were these stories where I was, like, 200 pounds. I was gaining weight because I was pregnant, and it was really hard to read all these stories and hear all these nasty things."
She's since lost 50 pounds since giving birth to baby North and is now focusing the next phase in her relationship — planning another wedding. It sounds like West won't take a backseat in the planning stages, and we're not the least bit surprised.
"He definitely knows what he wants, and I want him to have whatever he wants," she said. "I don't think we've even had the right time to sit down and talk about it. I think I'm enjoying just being engaged, and I think we're gonna get through his tour and then really talk about when and where and all that."
