The singer says Valentine's Day will "definitely be a family affair."
Tamar Braxton might have a lovely voice, but there's one person in her life who thinks otherwise: her 8-month-old son Logan. While on the red carpet for the BET Honors, the singer recently told People magazine that her baby doesn't like her singing.
"He doesn't [care for] singing that much," she said. "When I was pregnant with him, I recorded my album and he used to ball up real hard. And he does the same thing — just stares at me, like, 'What are you doing?'"
She also added that while he sleeps well and lets her and husband Vince Herbert get their beauty sleep, he refuses to crawl for her. At the beginning of her stint as a new mom, Braxton confessed that the pregnancy was difficult for her and that she didn't exactly take to her new baby right away. Now she said she's loving motherhood and while she initially thought she didn't want kids, she feels she nearly "missed out on the best thing that ever happened to me." And now that Logan's first Valentine's Day has arrived, she said that plans for her and her husband, with whom she has regular date nights, will "definitely be a family affair."
As for whipping that body back into shape after the pregnancy, Braxton said her love for snacks like ice cream and Doritos almost sabotaged her goal until she decided to give them up.
"I had to stop with the food. I tasted everything when I was pregnant — from the rooter to the tooter of the pig," she said.
