Actress and newly minted talk show host Keke Palmer is adding another accolade to her name: she’s the first cover star of JET magazine's new weekly digital issue, launching on Monday (June 30).

"This is such an honor,” she says of her cover status. "JET magazine was always on the table in my family’s home and it's great to be their first cover as they enter into the digital age.” Inside the issue, the actress chats about what it was like growing up on camera, her talk show idols, and dealing with social media drama.
After 63 years of publication, the trailblazing African-American lifestyle magazine released its final print issue on June 9 and announced its transition to a weekly digital magazine app.

The interactive app, available with a free 30-day introductory offer for all subscribers, is available on all tablet devices and mobile platforms and includes 3D images, video interviews, enhanced digital maps, audio content and photography from the Johnson Publishing Company archives, according to a press release. Along with Keke, the first issue will also feature Stacey Dash, Anthony Anderson, Trey Songz and Taraji P. Henson.

It’s already been a landmark year for Ms. Palmer, who becomes the youngest talk show host in history at age 20 with the launch of her new BET talk show, Just Keke, premiering Monday, June 30 at 5 p.m ET/4 p.m. CT.
