Kevin Hart to Offer Scholarships for United Negro College Fund

The actor-comedian donated $50,000 to four Philadelphia high school students.

Kevin Hart has partnered up with the United Negro College Fund to put his riches to good use. The actor-comedian will be donating $50,000 each to four high school seniors from Hart’s hometown of Philadelphia. The award recipients were chosen by Hart himself based on their grade point average and their need of financial assistance in order to pursue higher education.

“This is me stepping up to the plate and saying what you’re doing is dope,” Hart said. “You’re dope. You’ve got the opportunity to be the dopest of all dopetivity.”

The four students will also attend the UNCF’s “An Evening of Stars,” which will serve to promote the importance of higher education. The televised event is hosted by Anthony Anderson and airs on BET April 26.
