Wild parties with scores of scantily clad models may be the typical backstage scenario for a rapper on the rise, but George Moss isn’t the run-of-the-mill rapper. The Grand Rapids, Michigan, native took to Facebook earlier this week to share what really goes down behind that velvet curtain.
“If you ever wonder what #rappers do when they get off stage, they clean breast pumps for their wives so their baby can eat. #thuglife,” he captioned the photo, where he is seen holding up the pieces his wife’s breast pump in front of the bathroom mirror.
The photo has since gone viral, with more than 42,100 likes (and counting). Surprised by the positive reaction, Moss thanked his followers for the support by sharing an image of his wife, Michelle, breastfeeding their son Judah, adding another heart-warming caption.
“Although I appreciate the love, likes, and kind words (and even the few party poopers that the internet undoubtably [sic] produces), its [sic] absolutely CRAZY that this all happened because I washed a couple bottles. If anyone should get the credit it should be people like my wife!”
“This woman AMAZES me!” he continues. “Through all the pain & soreness, frustrations, stress, etc. of trying to breast feed and pump, she gets up in the middle of the night to nurse a hungry baby.” Moss also gave a shout out to all the other breastfeeding moms out there who are giving “our next generation the best possible start in life” and encouraged his fellow fathers to step up, too.
“I am sincerely blown away that more guys don’t support their women and children with #breastfeeding. I could go on and on about how happy I am to be a little pice [sic] of a movement that I didn’t even know existed, but also a little saddened to realize how few men (or better put, “males”) don’t do the simplest task like washing a bottle.”
