Tyra Banks Found the Perfect Man to Have a Baby With

Find out how she and Erik Alsa are sharing diaper duty.

Tyra Banks became a mom a couple of months ago when she and her boyfriend, Erik Alsa, welcomed a baby boy named York via surrogate, and the model-turned-mogul says she's never been more sleep-deprived — or happy.

Speaking to E! News, Banks describes the haze of being a new mom. "Some mornings you wake up, and you're like, 'Where am I? I don't know what's going on. And I know it's not a good idea for me to drive right now because I did not sleep,'" she says.
Sounds exhausting! But Tyra isn't in it alone. She credits her man with pulling his own weight when it comes to baby duties. "We go back and forth, so that's good," she says. "Erik does about 40 percent diaper duty at night. So we're almost 50-50."
So, Tyra not only has a beautiful new baby boy, but a man who's willing to change diapers in the middle of the night and roll up his sleeves to do the hard work of raising a child? Hold on to this one as tight as you can, Ty!

Even with an awesome man at your side, which Tyra clearly has, raising a baby and tending to an empire is no joke. So how does she do it?
"Well, I'm on maternity leave right now, just taking a break," she said. "I really now am empowering my team. I'm understanding delegation, understanding that I don't have to do everything to make something successful. I'm on maternity leave and Tyra Beauty is kickin' butt!"
