The God MC has had an incredible year. In addition to scoring his 11th no.1 album with "The Blueprint 3," his Big Apple Anthem, “Empire State of Mind” featuring Alicia Keys has now been no.1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for five weeks.

The smash single has allowed Jigga to perform during Game 2 of Major League Baseball’s World Series and again at the Yankees’ Championship parade in October. Now 40, Hov continues to sell out arenas, as evidenced by his Answer The Call benefit concert at Madison Square Garden on September 11th earlier this year. The show's proceeds went to families of NYPD and FDNY officers who died fighting on 9/11.

He was named Hottest MC in the Game by MTV, won an American Music Award, BET Award and was nominated for the upcoming Grammy Awards, among a few accolades.

Actor Cheyenne Jackson and actress Lea Michele also made the list.
