Teddy Riley Accused of Assaulting Daughters
Teddy Riley’s daughters were granted a restraining order against their father after accusations he attacked them have surfaced.
Riley’s 18-year-old daughter Taja was given the restraining order after claiming that her 43-year-old father – a member of R&B groups Guy and Blackstreet, and widely hailed as the creator of the New Jack Swing sound in music– attacked her and her older sister by “stomping, punching and bashing them” in his Los Angeles home December 23. In the documents filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, Taja also claims that Teddy “lifted a Rock Band [video game peripheral] guitar and threatened to kill person(s) with it.”
Taja claims to have received several injuries following the incident, including “bashes to the temple," a “contusion on the face” and “pain in the knee.” There’s no word on what may have set Riley off.
According to the restraining order, Teddy Riley has now been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Taja. The next hearing is set for January.
