Wyclef, Rihanna and Maxwell To Appear On Oprah In Support Of Haiti Tragedy

Published January 19, 2010

Some of music’s biggest stars are making sure Haiti has their support. After Haiti suffered a devastating earthquake last week, Wyclef Jean, a native of the country, is set to appear on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to give his take on the current state of Haiti.

Wyclef, who wasted no time in assisting in the recovery of his homeland, will also respond to accusations made against him and his charity, the Yele Haiti Foundation. Maxwell, who is of Haitian and Puerto Rican descent, will appear as a musical guest, while Rihanna rounds out the bill.

A rep from Def Jam confirmed that Rihanna is slated to perform a rendition of Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song.” Label reps for Maxwell have yet to confirm what Maxwell will be performing.
