Charges against Tyrese for a felony citation were dropped today.

The R&B singer was involved in a car crash January 4 in Miami, FL with Sheena McCleary. However, McCleary– who claimed she was injured in the crash– drove away in a cab with Tyrese after speaking with police.

Miami police issued traffic citations to both Tyrese and McCleary for “leaving the scene on public or private property– injury,” considered a felony.

However, when photos were produced by TMZ revealing that Tyrese did in fact speak to authorities, his lawyers, Jayne Weintraub and Jon Sale, went to court with them. The prosecutor then officially dropped the case.

Tyrese is currently in the studio working on his as-yet-untitled fifth album, due sometime this year.
