Yung Berg (born Christian Ward) doesn’t miss anything on the internet. Earlier this morning, TMZ broke a story about Berg being violently assaulted and robbed during a house party in L.A., but according to the Chicago native, that’s far from the truth.
The report claims Berg was one of several individuals that was assaulted Sunday morning (Feb. 21) around 2:00AM. The assailants reportedly pistol whipped Berg, along with another unnamed victim, and made off with $10,000 in cash and jewelry.
After being notified of the report, the rapper quickly refuted the claims via a Youtube response stating he was in Vegas and not in L.A. at the time of the incident.
“So basically there is a story on TMZ or whatever," Berg said of the confusion. "Thanks for the free promo and publicity right now. It’s just not the right publicity.”
“I wish I was talking about the album or mixtape," he continued. "I am fine. I’m straight. I’m still gorgeous. I love you mom. Thanks for these good genes.” Yung Berg also tweeted that he landed in Las Vegas around 11pm Sunday night.
