B.o.B: "I'm Not Holding Nothing Back On This Album"

B.o.B is a fighting underdog. After servicing six street mixtapes dating back to 2006, the Atlanta rapper has finally landed in the big leagues with his debut, "The Adventures Of Bobby Ray," which hits stores today (April 27) via Rebel Rock/Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records.

Grand Hustle's multi-faceted rookie, who’s proficient in playing guitar, piano, trumpet and producing, was deemed as one of XXL Magazine’s rising stars back in 2008.

Roughly a year a half later, his first single, “Nothing On You,” featuring Bruno Mars is holding court at the no.1 slot on Billboard’s Hot 100 and Billboard Rap Songs. And now with the release of ‘Bobby Ray,’ B.o.B is a ball of excitement as he gears up to reveal all on his 12-track opus.

“I’m very excited because I’ve been waiting so long to put the album out,” B.o.B told BET.com. “I’m at the point to where I feel like I’m very prepared so I’m really interested to see how the album will impact. I’m not holding back nothing on this album.

Though B.o.B is part of the Grand Hustle camp, the synergy between him and T.I. isn’t forced. And on this project, though T.I. produced one of B.o.B.’s cuts, the duo only collaborated once on the album.

“It was something we never really rushed at all,” B.o.B said of T.I.’s contribution to “Bet I Bust.” “Even though I’m on Grand Hustle, it was never something that we rushed- it was something that just had to happen naturally.

B.o.B.’s “The Adventures of Bobby Ray” features appearances from T.I., Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, Bruno Mars, Haley Williams and more.
