Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Fela" Nominated For 11 Tony Awards

After investing in the production last November, Jay-Z's Broadway musical, "Fela!," which was co-produced by Alicia Keys, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, has nabbed 11 nominations for this year's Tony Awards.

Aside from being nominated for Best Musical, "Fela!" also brought in a nod for Best Book of Musical for Jim Lewis and Bill T. Jones. Sahr Ngaujah, who plays the leading actor in the production, was also nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical. 

"Fela!"breaks down the life story of Nigerian musician Fela Kuti and his musical struggles along the way. His music's been sampled by countless artists, including Common and The Roots.
