Judge Denies DMX 'Celebrity Rehab' Appearance

DMX is staying put in Arizona. According to TMZ.com, DMX (born Earl Simmons) will not be making an appearance on VH1's "Celebrity Rehab" this summer.

Simmons, who is currently incarcerated for violating his probation back in March, was offered treatment from Dr. Drew Pinsky's rehab clinic, but was denied approval by an Arizona judge.

A rep from the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona explained the judge denied Simmons access to Pinsky's facility due to his progress at the Arizona substance abuse program assigned by the court.

However, once X completes the program in July, the judge is willing to give him the freedom to participate in Pinsky's "Celebrity Rehab" program. But by then, the show would've commenced taping, making it too late for Simmons to join.

Reps for DMX have yet to comment on the matter.
