Drake's New Album Debuts at No.1
The numbers are in. Drake's much anticipated debut may not have broken the 500k mark, but it's posted strong numbers nonetheless.
Despite leaking two weeks before its official release date, Drake's "Thank Me Later" reached Billboard 200's top spot— selling 446,000 units in its first week according to Nielsen's Soundscan.
The album now stands as the fastest rap album of the year to date and the third fastest selling LP overall. Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" sold 481, 000 CDs in its first week while Sade's "Soldier of Love" scanned 502,000 copies.
Drake's also doing quite well with singles as well. "Find Your Love," "Over" and "Miss Me" featuring Lil Wayne respectively stand at no. 10, 31 and 50 on the Billboard Hot 100.
