Oakland rap legend Too $hort has been arrested in Idaho for battery.

Too $hort (born Todd Shaw) was apprehended by Idaho authorities due to his role in an incident at The Knitting Factory nightclub.

According to police reports, Shaw allegedly punched, kicked and pushed employess of the nightclub after being told he was not permitted to bring underage girls backstage into his dressing room. Shaw's associate Michael T. Walton was also taken into custody.

Though none of the employees were seriouly injured, Shaw and Walton were taken into custody, but released after posting bail. $hort will face three counts of misdemeanor battery while Walton was charged with two counts of the same offense.

Shaw and Walton are due back in court on August 4th.
