Rihanna Ties Beyonce and Mariah Carey For Billboard Record

Rihanna has just entered a very select group. The Bajan singer recently tied Beyonce, Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga for the most No.1 singles in Nielsen's BDS-based 18-year history.

RiRi tied the record with her appearance on Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie," which presently sits atop the Billboard 100 chart. The song marked her sixth chart topper. She's also reached the top of the charts with "SOS" in 2006, "Take a Bow," "Disturbia" and T.I.'s "Live Your Life" in 2008, as well as "Rude Boy" earlier this year.

Justin Timberlake, Avril Lavigne, Pink and Britney Spears each have five No.1s. Meanwhile, Carey still holds the record for most No.1 singles by a solo artist, period. She released 12 No.1 singles before 1993— bringing her total to 18.
