Trina thinks it’s time for female MCs to assemble. With Ludacris' “Battle of the Sexes” providing some much needed exposure to femcees, and Trina and Nicki Minaj scheduled to release albums later this year, the self-proclaimed "baddest chick" believes female MCs have a shot to return center stage where they belong.
“I think the females should collaborate more, go on a tour and just make the whole female movement real real strong,” Trina recently told BET.com after a taping of "106 & Park."
No cat fight, here. Trina's excited about the new crop of femcees currently trying to break through.
“We have a new generation and a new wave of females that’s coming out and with the collaborations and with everybody joining forces, I think that’s a beautiful thing," Trina explained. “It really enlightens the females that are in the game. It gives awareness to let you know that we are out here."
Trina's fifth solo LP, "Amazin'," featuring Lady Gaga, Monica, Diddy, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj, Lyfe Jennings and Monica is scheduled to hit stores May 4.
