One year after Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift's speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, upcoming VMA host Chelsea Handler is hoping to reunite the two superstars at this year's show.
Handler revealed her plan on Ryan Seacrest's KISS-FM radio show yesterday. "I'd like to get them together," Handler told Seacrest. "We've never really seen them together since then. They were supposed to be together on SNL, but then that didn't end up happening...We'll try to think of something clever to do with them, because that would be really fun."
Though West says he apologized to Swift only days after the incident, he's been a virtual punching bag since the incident. While on hiatus, the Louis Vuitton Don was nearly punched by Kings of Leon's Nathan Followill and ridiculed on Saturday Night Live and at the Country Music Awards. 'Ye recently apologized again during a concert in Singapore.
The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards are slated to air September 12 at 9/8c.
