Chris Brown Avoids Battery Lawsuit By Settling

It was a close call.

Photographer Robert Rosen claims Chris Brown's bodyguards injured him back in 2009, has now settled out of court.

Rosen filed the suit for assault and battery in May of 2009, claiming he was seriously injured when Brown's bodyguards chased him after he took photos of the singer playing basketball at an LA Fitness gym. According to court documents, the settlement was reached October 28 and the details have not been made public.

Rosen contends that he fell down a flight of stairs after being chased and that LA Fitness didn't do much to protect him. A trial date for the incident had initially been set for February 22, 2011.

The incident took place approximately a month after Breezy was arrested in February 2009 for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown is still on probation for the incident.
