Drizzy Drake caught up with Canada’s MuchMusic yesterday for the premiere episode of their relaunched hip-hop outlet RapCity. The interview, which features Drake sporting his recent shaggier look, was recorded the morning before he took off on the European leg of his Light Dreams and Nightmares tour.
New host T-ReXxX talked with the Canadian export about his recording process (producer/engineer 40 plays keys in the background), his love for his countryman Kardinal Offishall, whether or not his songs are based on his real life and mistakes he’s made in the past (perhaps including certain cell phone self portraits?).
Drake’s follow up to his smash debut, Thank Me Later, is entitled Take Care and due out this year. He’s also featured on Lil Wayne’s forthcoming, highly anticipated post-prison release The Carter 4. The two have even talked about doing a joint album together a la Jay-Z and Kanye West’s imminent Watch The Throne.
