Gucci Mane Covers The Source Magazine

The iced-out rapper talks critics in upcoming issue of The Source magazine.

Rapper Gucci Mane is all grills on the cover of the new Source magazine, which hits newsstands on March 22. Showing off his gold-tooth grill, his ice cream face tattoo, and his iced-out camera and 1017 jewelry pieces, the rapper is featured on the front page bookended by two models. In the interview, Gucci addresses the criticism he’s received from “people who doubt” his intelligence.

“I actually welcome it as part of success,” Gucci tells writer Brian “B.Dot” Miller. “I don’t want everybody to like me. So many people feel like I don’t deserve the things I got. I know I worked hard for 'em so [criticism] makes me work harder.”

He talks specifically about bloggers, who he says “fuel his fire.” Says Gucci: “I can’t say I want to enjoy all the spoils of the game without being criticized.”

The icey rapper dons the mag's cover for the April issue, which is being promoted as their “green issue” to coincide with Earth Day. How fitting for a rapper known for making music about things grown from the Earth’s soil (“Weed Man”).
