Bow Wow to Star in Ice Cube Produced Sitcom

Rapper says he’s set to link with the N.W.A. legend on fresh TV series.

The last time rappers Bow Wow and Ice Cube worked together, their comedy flick Lottery Ticket grossed a respectable $25 million. Now the two hip hop stars are preparing to join forces on the small screen. Bow Wow told AllHipHop.com that he’s working with Cube to put out a new television series.

Ice Cube, who’s received production credits for films All About the Benjamins, Lottery Ticket and the new TBS television series Are We There Yet, will produce the yet-to-be-named sitcom, while Bow Wow, who’s starred in films Like Mike, Roll Bounce and Lottery Ticket will star in the upcoming show.

Bow Wow also reveals that he’s bringing his longtime mentor Jermaine Dupri onto the project to produce a score for the series. “I just spoke with JD yesterday and I got him doing the score and he is actually to do the music for the TV show,” Bow told the hip hop news site. “I told JD when Will [Smith] had his own [The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air], Quincy Jones did all the music so it’s only right that he does mine.”

In the meantime, Bow Wow will star in Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family alongside Lauren London, Loretta Devine, Rodney Perry and Teyana Taylor. The film premieres on April 22.
