Jill Scott's new album, The Light Of The Sun, is out this summer and the Philly queen is joined by a host of friends for the new release. For the track "Shame," Scott enlisted fellow Philadelphia natives Black Thought and Eve and on the official first single, "So In Love," she pairs up with the indomitable Anthony Hamilton. Listen to the sultry groove above.

The Light Of The Sun is Scott's fourth album and represents her return to the studio after extensive acting gigs including multiple roles in various Tyler Perry movies and her leading roll in HBO's television adaptation of The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency.

The record is also a tribute to Scott's roots. The Grammy-winning vocalist, writer, poet and actress filmed the video for "Shame" at her childhood recreation center in Philadelphia. "You don't have to go far away just because you've accomplished something in your life...I'm still here," said Scott. Watch the new video here.
