Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV" Pushed Back to June

Weezy's ninth album will no longer be released May 16.

Lil Wayne fans who've been anxiously waiting for the rapper's new album to drop next month will now have to wait a little longer, Rap Dose reports. "Tha Carter IV" will now be released sometime in June instead of on the original May 16 drop date. One of the album's producers stated that the delay has nothing to do with the rumored tracklist leak of the album and that the decision to push back the release date was made before the leak ocurred.

In addition, the tracklist making the rounds might not be legit at all as one of Weezy's producers claimed that none of the names on the list looked familiar.

A more plausible reason could be Lil Wayne's "I Am Still Music" nationwide tour, which wraps up in May after a quick trek through Canada: Perhaps after the show is through the New Orleans rapper will finally have the time he needs to make final tweaks on his much-anticipated record.
