S.P. launches health conscious spot in the Bronx.
From motivational-speaking to penning books, Yonkers, N.Y., rapper Styles P has always been proactive with endeavors outside of rap. Now S.P. can add heath enthusiast to his resume. The Yonkers-native, who makes up one third of the hip-hop group The LOX, recently opened a juice bar in the Bronx with friends Nyger Rollocks and Leo Galvez.
According to the Bronx Times, Galvez and P frequented a juice bar in Harlem owned by fellow health enthusiast, Rollocks. The three men became close at the store and ultimately went into partnership together.
“I was eating a lot of fast food, but Rollocks got me eating right,” said Styles. “Our first goal is to get everyone a little more health conscious.”
“Juices for Life,” the product of their union, opened about a month ago.
Although there is no menu yet, patrons are encouraged to discuss their ailments with Rollocks who then suggests a diet plan and signature concoction for each visitor, the owners are thinking big. They plan to franchise in the near future.
