New York radio station Hot 97 has announced the lineup for this year’s popular Summer Jam concert.
Performers for the 2011 show include Wiz Khalifa, Fabolous, Waka Flocka Flame, Rick Ross, Drake, Birdman, Dipset, Chris Brown, Lloyd Banks and Lil Wayne.
Wayne, who missed the 2010 concert because he was in New York’s Rikers Island jail serving time on a gun possession charge, was acknowledged at last year’s concert by his Young Money protégé Drake. The Toronto MC shouted “Free Weezy” before encouraging fans to sing along with him to Weezy’s “I’m Goin In” loud enough so that the Young Money general could hear.
This year’s show will take place June 5 at the New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Tickets are currently on sale via Ticketmaster and a portion of sales will go to Hot 97’s “Hip-Heart Foundation,” which provides financial assistance to various charities that benefit communities in the tri-state area.
