90's female rapper Bo$ is seeking a donor for a kidney transplant. Bo$, whose real name is Lichelle Laws, is suffering from a medical condition called renal disease. She has been using social networking tools such as Facebook and Twitter to spread the word.

The disease that Bo$ has causes kidneys to fail as a result of not filtering toxins and wastes from the blood. A source close to the rapper told allhiphop.com that she was undergoing dialysis, but was in need of a kidney transplant.

Friends of the former Def Jam rapper have recently launched "Rappers Need Kidneys, Too," a  campaign aimed at getting the word out to potential donors as well as raising awareness in the hip hop community on the disease.

Bo$ was signed to Def Jam back in 1993. She rose to popularity with the release of her debut album Born Gangstaz, led by the single "Deeper." Having been introduced to the game by DJ Quik, the rap community was critical of her after learning she was raised in an upper middle-class home and went to private school.
