Cory Gunz Addresses Lil Twist's Slaughterhouse Comments

"The Son of A Gun" star tells "BET.com" that he's a fan of the hip hop supergroup.

Over the last couple of years, many in the hip hop community have been the singing the praises of Cory Gunz. The son of 90's rapper Peter Gunz has earned the respect from the hardest of rap critics because of his keen rap skill and lyrical talent. But of course, skill breeds competition.

In an exclusive interview with BET.com, Cory Gunz answered questions about comments made by rapper Lil Twist that could have incited a rap battle. Speaking on his Young Money brethren, Twist said that Cory Gunz could "rap circles around Slaughterhouse," the Shady Records supergroup consisting of Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Royce Da 5'9," all highly-respected MCs.

"Twist is my little brother...On that, I’m pretty sure he didn’t mean no harm, no foul or nothing...We family and I really take pride in what I do and he knows that," said Gunz. "At the end of the day, we fans. We fans of Slaughterhouse, so it’s all fair."

Cory continued to clear up Twist's comments, which he feels were taken out of context. "Certain things people say get taken out of context, know what I’m sayin'. [It] ends up one place, and everybody adds their own barbecue sauce on every situation. Ain’t nothing too major about that and I’m a fan of Slaughterhouse."
