Femcee, Dynasty, Rips the Mic

Femcee, Dynasty, Rips the Mic

DJ Premiere introduces a new artist and she's going hard.

Published May 6, 2011

Dj Premiere, the go-to hitmaker in hip-hop, introduced a new femcee from his imprint, Year Round Records. Her name is Dynasty and after you hear her flow you won't be able to get her out of your mid. With a laid-back Lauryn Hill sound and uncompromising lyrics she's the kind of rapper that seemed to have disappeared in recent years.

Her video, "Epic Dynasty" features lines like:

I'm nothing like these other broads quick to get naked/tryna get hot off of this record/yea, but you never see me bow or bend/shining ever since the day I found the pen

The Queens born Tampa transplant has been grinding for a while and getting more and more attention for her hard-hitting lyrics. She's opened for Little Brother, Wu-Tang, KRS-One and AZ & Cormega. "Epic Dynasty" was featured on Premier's 2010 mixtape, Get Used to Us. Hopefully having a track produced by Dj Premiere and now a video for it, Dynasty will have the boost she needs for more consistent airplay.
