The highly-anticipated and much delayed new video from superstar Beyoncѐ will finally premiere this week. The first look at the singer's "Run the World (Girls)" will be broadcast after Wednesday's episode of American Idol.

Last Friday, Beyoncѐ's fans anxiously checked Vevo to see the new video, which was supposed to premiere on the site that day. Instead, they saw a message informing them that the video had been delayed. According to reports, Bey was "perfecting" the clip, which was directed by Francis Lawrence. The video was shot in California last month.

The single is the first from Beyoncѐ's upcoming fourth album, 4, an important number for the Grammy Award winning star. She was married on April 4, her birthday is September 4 and her husband Jay-Z celebrates his birthday on December 4.
