Frank Ocean 'nostaliga, ULTRA' LP to be Released via Def Jam
Drake's not the only MC to sell an LP that he's already given away for free. Frank Ocean, of the Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All collective, is following a similar pattern with his newest album nostalgia, ULTRA.
The LP, released for free earlier this year via Ocean's Tumblr and currently swirling the web as a downloadable file, is set to be re-released via Ocean's label home, Def Jam. While the singer's representative has yet to announce an official debut date, it's rumored that the work will hit shelves on July 26. Word also says that the first official single will be the radio-friendly "Novocaine," which was produced by The-Dream's beat buddy Tricky Stewart.
Though Drake's So Far Gone didn't include any new songs apart from the mixtape's original tracklisting, Def Jam plans to add fresh music to Ocean's album.
Ocean, who has joined Beyoncé in the studio to craft music for her forth-coming album 4, also releaser a new song entitled "Acura Integurl" on May 23.
