As fans get antsy about Dr. Dre's long-awaited Detox, producer Swizz Beatz tells them that it's on its way and that it will be good, but not to rush a master. Swizz has been in the lab with Dr. Dre, collaborating on about four tracks and even though he's not sure which will make it onto the album, he's at least landed one titled "VIP Chillin'" for his own upcoming Haute Living LP.
"It's just been a great experience for me, whether they go on the album, whether they don't go on the album," Swizz tells MTV News of the collaboration. "'V.I.P. Chillin',' I took that one for myself, but I would gladly give it back to him anytime he wants it back."
"He's energetic. He's vibing in a way that you've never heard him before," he continues. "So even if he don't put that one particular track out, I'm blessed to have the blessing from him to have it for my album."
Having heard portions of Detox, Swizz asks fans to be patient with Dre and the album's delay and not doubt the man's talent saying, "Dre has amazing songs and I think everything is worth the wait. He's a genius, he's a legend and it's just no getting around that. Everybody just gotta chill out and let that man do his thing. He's a master at what he does, hands down."
