Published May 28, 2011

Tonight in Brooklyn, A Tribe Called Quest frontman Q-Tip and legendary producer Pete Rock will kick off the Fort Greene Festival at the Sander's Studio. Old school hip-hop fans can expect a mélange of goodies from the icons, such as "Bonita Applebum," "Vivrant Thang" and "They Reminisce Over You." Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

With a combo like this, expect New York to rock hard into the wee hours of morning. In related news, Pete Rock is gearing up to release a new album this June 28 with Brooklyn's own Smif N Wessun.
