Kristen Foster, Houston's representative, went on E! News to set the record straight. She called the rumors "completely untrue" and denied that doctors told the Grammy-winning singer she would exact an untimely death if she did not stop smoking cigarettes. It is no secret that Houston has suffered from substance abuse in the past. She has made considerable strides to focus on her career in the last few years in hopes of securing a successful comeback.
