Says performance is about music and "putting on a show."
It's been more than a month since Nicki Minaj wrapped up her gig with Lil' Wayne's I Am Still Music Tour and now the Young Money artist is getting ready to hit the road with Britney Spears. The two will start discussing plans for their Femme Fatale Tour, which starts June 16 in Sacramento, Calif., in the next few days and by the sound of things, it's probably going to be a visual feast. Minaj already knows she has to kick her stage game up a few notches if she hopes to be on Spears' level.
"I'm just trying to put more theater on that stage. So much to me is music, but it's also about putting on a show, so that's my goal: to truly put on a show and incorporate theater and dance," Minaj tells MTV News. I think it's pretty easy to take it to the next level ... I think I'm nowhere close to where I could be as far as my shows have been. So I think it's going to be pretty easy, actually."
