DMX Has Plans After July 6th Prison Release

The rapper will focus on new album, reality show and family.

Earl "DMX" Simmons is set to be released from prison July 6 after serving a six-month sentence for parole violation and the rapper already has his sights set on life beyond bars. First, a new album with drop this summer, his first in four years. "Things will be different this time," he says about his newest project.

The 40-year-old also plans to focus on his family, wishing to unite his 10 children and create a relationship with his mother. A different view of DMX will be presented to his fans during a reality television show currently titled "X-tended Family," which plans to tap into his softer side alongside fiancee Yadira Borrego. The couple has two children together.

"He is an amazing father and man," says Borrego. "The media has never shown who he really is."

DMX was previously married to Tashera Simmons who said she grew frustrated with his infedility after learning he'd fathered four children outside of their marriage.
