When an artist is at the top of their game, peers often become fans. As part of the promotional push for Beyoncé's upcoming new album 4, the pop star is making tracks from the record available for streaming—along with commentary from some of the principal collaborators. Andre 3000 and Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds recognize Bey’s talent.
“I’ve always felt Beyoncé was one of the best performers of our time, so to collaborate with her was an honor and a pleasure,” said Andrew, who provides a notable guest verse on the Kanye West-produced summer anthem "Party."
Babyface co-produced 4's second single, "Best Thing I Never Had," and the legendary songwriter was similarly effusive about working with the former Destiny's Child frontwoman.
“What is the definition of perfection…or the closest thing to it? Beyoncé,” he enthused. “Icons are made. Stars are born. From the moment Beyoncé took her first breath, her star was shining. What an honor it is for me to say that I danced with a true star. Or wrote. Same thing.”
4 hits stores next Tuesday, June 28.
