Last week, rumors took off that Game’s video “Pot of Gold” was robbed during the shoot, although the rapper, who was tweeting about the video during production, never mentioned a word of it.
According to SOHH.com, Fox News reported the robbery, saying that “the suspects were said to have taken Mars' jewelry and wallet which contained a few thousand dollars.” Mars (Lamar Edward, 24) is a songwriter/producer who has worked with T.I., Snoop Dogg, and David Banner, among others. At the time of the robbery, the producer was said to have been about a block away from the set, where Game and Chris Breezy were shooting. As a result, they were unharmed and also apparently unaware of the crime.
While Game was tweeting how well the shoot went, SOHH.com noted a string of dramatic tweets from Mars expressing gratitude at not having been killed. "Dang.. Couldve died today but God spared my life! Praying til I pass out! Goodnight and God bless you!!!!!" Even though TMZ says the music maker lost about $12,000, the important thing is that he gets to make more good music and Game’s video shoot is not going to be a memorial.
