Jay-Z is looking to expand his empire once again. According to Reuters.com, he just signed a massive deal to open an outpost of his 40/40 Club franchise in London next year. He is partnering with English soccer player Ashley Cole. “London is one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world and the perfect location for our new venue,” Jay-Z said in an official statement. “I’m excited about working with Ashley and NVA Entertainment Group on a range of new projects and The 40/40 London is going to be the hottest place in town.” The London location will donate a percentage of profits to youth charities for music and sports projects in underserved communities.
He and partner Juan Perez have already opened six locations of the sports bar around the United States (NYC, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta) and two international branches (Toyko and Macau). Jay-Z recently signed a deal to open locations in airports around the country as well.
