One half of the Outkast duo says he's ready to release his second solo album.
Big Boi could release his sophomore album, Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader, if he wanted to. So why hasn't he? Well, according to an allhiphop.com, he's gonna let it marinate for a second.
"I’mma marinate on it because I’m on the road. I feel good about it, all the music’s sounding great,” he said. The Southern rap great claims that he's already completed 17 songs for his upcoming sophomore solo album, which will feature Janelle Monae. "She’s got a creative mind, she’s got a great spirit. She’s a good girl and I’m proud of her. She’s making me very proud," he says of his protégé.
As far as the release date for his album goes, Daddy Fat Sax should come sometime before the end of the year. About the project, he reveals, “S-A-X-X-X triple assassin, and the beats are going to be as hard hitting as always. I’mma let everything else be a surprise, and just let it speak for itself.”
