DMX Says He's Not Signing With Rick Ross

X quashes rumors about his next album coming out on Maybach Music.

Contrary to recent reports, DMX is not signing to Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group label. After being released from an Arizona prison yesterday, word spread that the former Ruff Ryder rapper was in "serious negotiations" with the Miami boss. But in an interview with XXL magazine, X shuts down the possibility.

When asked whether he was going to release his next album as an MMG artist, X responded, "Nah, probably not." X did not confirm or deny whether "serious negotiations" took place, whether there was a meeting, or whether or not he and Rick Ross had discussed releasing his next album.

The Yonkers-bred MC, however, did talk about the rap industry and how his next album would bring hip hop back. "It’s missing that,” DMX said about the "realness and rawness" of the game. “I don’t know what it’s about anymore. I don’t know what [rappers are] doing.”
