Lil Wayne Joins Curren$y's 'Smoke Sumthin'

Two old Young Money friends, together again.

Curren$y isn't just one of hip-hop's reefer-lutionaries, he's also used to be part of Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment. Lil Tunechi joined his former artist on a track called "Smoke Sumthin" from Curren$y's newest mixtape Verde Terrace.

The New Orleans MC joined Young Money in the mid-2000's but left a few years later, before the label's meteoric rise catapulted by Drake and Nicki Minaj. Now, Curren$y and Lil Wayne are together on a new take on an old favorite as "Smoke Sumthin" plucks the beat of Outkast's ominous "Elevators."

"Lemme goon' light me one up for my trouble, I been dealing with this bitch who think that we're the perfect couple but she trippin'," Wayne spits quickly on the track. "I'm sipping on some bubbly with no bubbles, I put this sh-- together like puzzles./ I'm puzzled, is it me or ni--as is lame? You're coward hearted, yellow, lemon meringue."

Curren$y's Verde Terrace mixtape is hosted by DJ Drama and hit the Internet early last week however Wayne's additional verse just surfaced recently. Elsewhere, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV was released digitally on August 29.
